The aircraft from Group II of the 4th Fighter Squadron, led by the Luftwaffe pilot Walter Wagner, on January 1, 1945, took part in a raid on the American airfield Sint-Truidense in Belgium. Anti-aircraft fire damaged the engine of the aircraft, and the pilot had to make an emergency landing at the American airfield.
