Plants that like coffee grounds- my roses and tomatoes love them I also sprinkle them on my grass where it is in need of nitrogen. What a great, inexpensive, way to reuse something that would just fill up the compost or trash bins.
Slugs will eat cornmeal, even though it kills them. Put cornmeal in a jar turned on its side near the affected plants...!!!
Did you know that cornmeal is birth control for weeds? Sprinkle it on your garden and it will keep weed seeds from germinating and growing into plants.
