A lion's welcome for passengers arriving at Maun International Airport in Botswana

The mother of all brunches greeted us after our early morning guided walk in the Okavango Delta. Fab cooking by Tony from Sunway Safaris #botswanasafari2015

An unforgettable Botswana safari: Part 1 - The Okavango Delta

Another elephant picture? Yes, but can you ever really have too many elephant pictures? smile emoticon Despite my photos so far showing mostly one at a time, in actual fact they generally arrived in herds like here, playing in the water for quite some time before moving on and a different bunch would appear. #botswanasafari2015 Sunway Safaris

So this turned out pretty spectacularly...I was shooting video and moved position so only had less than a second of stable footage but it sure made for a good screen grab - one of the benefits of shooting in 4K is to be able to get such clarity for stills from a clip :-)

"Sundowners" are a safari tradition; enjoying a crisp Gin and Tonic or cold beer as the sun sets over the African bush is the perfect way to round off the day. For our second night camping in the Okavango Delta with Sunway Safaris this was made even more special by the fact that we journeyed to a remote island by mokoro first ‪#‎botswanasafari2015‬

You need to keep an eye out for these guys, especially near the public campsites and entrance gates to the game reserves. This one is keeping watch for his cheeky mates while they get up to all kinds of monkey mischief ‪#‎botswanasafari2015‬

Grown-up Travel Guide's Best Photos: Close up with a lion, Moremi, Botswana

An unforgettable Botswana safari: Part 2 - Moremi Game Reserve

Waking to the dawn chorus at daybreak our first activity after coffee and breakfast was a guided walk with one of our local guides/polers. One of the first sightings on our first day was this large group of African Skimmers - which was quite a start as these are on the near-threatened list. A beautiful bird, and one of just some 560 recorded species in Botswana...‪#‎botswanasafari2015‬
