Crockpot Sesame Chicken | Crockpot Sesame Chicken | By Robyn Q | Alright. I'm just going to use the green part of a green onion. Alright. So I have these nice and thin. And I'm going to add them to a bowl of iced water. And then you'll see at the end what they turn out like. Alright. I have two pounds of chicken breast which I have diced and I'm going to add in about a third of a cup of cornstarch into that baggie with the chicken breast. You can use Chicken thighs or any other cuts of chicken that you like. I like chicken breast so we're going to use that and I'm just going to shake it and get that nice and coated. Okay, this is a Crockpot recipe. So, I'm just going to add that chicken that's coated in the cornstarch to the bottom of my Crockpot I have one red pepper that I've sliced and I'm just going to add that in. Then we're going to make a sauce to go on top of that. So the first thing that I'm going to put in there is a half a cup of soy sauce. And I'm going to add I'm just putting a fourth of a teaspoon of red pepper flakes. You can add more if you want more heat. And I'm going to add two thirds of a cup of water. Tablespoons of brown sugar. Get that mixed in. And a couple tablespoons of rice vinegar. I'm going to add a teaspoon of sesame oil. Then, I'm just going to use ground ginger but you can definitely use fresh ginger in this and I'm just putting about a teaspoon in. I've got two teaspoons or couple cloves of garlic that is minced. One more ingredient and we'll be ready to put this on our chicken. Honey, I'm going to add about three tablespoons. One, two, three. So this is super quick. And this is nice because it's super easy. Put it on in the morning and then have your dinner ready. So I think that switched together really nicely. Alright. So I'm just going to pour this on top. Of my chicken. Oh boy that smells good. Oh doesn't it? Just wait. It's going to smell good all day. Yeah. Although I'm going to put it on high because I don't have to wait. So I'm just going to stir this just to make sure that I get it. And I'm going to stir it gently I should say. Just to make sure I get everything nice and coated. That looks really good. Oh that does smell so good. Alright. I don't want to have to wait. So I'm going to put this on high for about three to four hours until that chicken is cooked. You can put it on low too for about four to six hours. But we're going to get this done so we can taste it. Right. Our sesame chicken that we cooked in a Crockpot is done. Oh my gosh. Look at that. Ooh. That is so nice. I'm super excited about this. So good. I love sesame Chicken. So this is going to be great. Just going to scoop some of this onto my rice and obviously you can use cauliflower rice if you want to. Whatever you like. Gotta make sure I get some peppers on that. Oh yeah. I'm going to give you one more scoop. Okay. Set that down and we made that garnish with our green onions and I just wanted to show you what happened to them. Super cool. That was just from being in the just from being in that ice bath. So they curl up. So that's really cool to lay on top of your dish. How cool is that? Then I'm just going to sprinkle with a little bit of sesame seeds because it's sesame chicken so we gotta do that right? How pretty is this dish? Oh Isn't that pretty? I love it. Okay. Here we go. Coming in on that one. Make sure you had a pepper too. Alright and I know it's hot. Oh my gosh. Mm. That is so good. Mm. The chicken is so tender. Mm. You guys have got to try this Crockpot Sesame Chicken. It is delicious. Yum.
