Académie Colarossi Paris; bronze medal 1889 Paris World Fair. 1890's teaching regularly in Finland at the Art Society drawing school. Moved to Hyvinkää: still lifes and landscapes, portraits, such as her mother, local school girls, women workers, self-portraits, became a modernist painter. Compared to Whistler, Munch;1905 paintings took on a character that was hers alone (wikipedia)
