Ambrosian Iliad (early 6th century)

The Ambrosian Iliad is one of the oldest surviving illustrated manuscripts from Late Antiquity. The original manuscript was discovered in a library in the city of Milan, hence the reference to "Ambrosian" in honor of Milan's most notable citizen from antiquity, the Bishop Ambrose.
