Richard Neutra est considéré comme l'un des architectes les plus importants du modernisme, qu'il a contribué à populariser aux États-Unis, principalement en Californie.Richard Neutra s'installa sur la côte est des États-Unis en 1923, ce qui lui permit de travailler brièvement pour Frank Lloyd Wright, avant son départ pour la Californie, en 1925. Il obtint la nationalité américaine en 1929.

The Kaufmann House, located in Palm Springs, California, is one of the best-known designs by Richard Neutra - completed between 1946-1947. It was a vacation home for Edgar J.
