NGC 1360 is a planetary nebula in the constellation of Fornax. It is about 1145 ly from Earth. It was identified as a planetary nebula due to its radiation in the OIII (oxygen) bands. Reddish matter, believed to have been ejected from the original star before its final collapse, is visible in images.
Robert Doisneau: The Lodgers, 1962. I like this because it does foster the sense of neighborly curiosity and interaction really missing in the present day. How many times have you not even greeted the person in your apartment elevator and not introduced yourself?
