Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall - Primatologist, Anthropologist. I remember seeing her documentaries on discovery and reading about her in the National Geographic when I was a kid - I wanted to BE her. I even got given a huge chimpanzee plush toy for Christmas when I was 7 years old, because I was obsessed with them and wolves, but wolf toys didn't exist. "Judy" (named after the chimp in Daktari) is still with me (29 years later!!) and the only prized treasure I have kept from my childhood!

Jane Goodall - Named by her biographer as “the woman who redefined man,” Jane changed the perceptions of the connections between primates and people. Born in 1937, she traveled to Tanzania at the age of 23 to enter the world of the chimpanzee bringing little more than a notepad and binoculars. With patience, she was able to enter the world of the chimpanzee, be accepted as one of them, and learn more than ever imagined.

"15 Life Lessons Learned From Primatologist Jane Goodall." ... Key words: 'arguably' and 'intelligent'. We humans defined ourselves as intelligent, but we obviously got it very, very wrong....
