Henry Ford died from a cerebral hemorrhage at his Dearborn Estate on April 7, 1947. He is buried in the Ford Cemetery in Detroit. His only son, Edsel died from cancer in 1947 and grandson, Henry Ford II took over running Ford Motor Co.
