Yep. This isn't just true in the public sphere. It's true also in our homes: how many of us had "Catholic" or "Christian" parents or family members who didn't actually live the faith other than as a Sunday duty, and who let others sin against us, leaving deep wounds, because they cared more about being "nice" to those people instead of loving a God Who would've given them the strength to stand up for what is right and protect us? Let's have a show of hands.
