Design/Objetos - Cadeira vermelha e azul Rietveld 1917 Ela representa uma das primeiras explorações do De Stijl, movimento de arte em três dimensões. A cadeira originalmente foi pintada de preto, cinzenta e branca. Contudo, foi depois modificado para se assemelhar às pinturas de Piet Mondrian, quando Rietveld entrou no contacto com o trabalho deste artista em 1918. Rietveld juntou-se ao movimento De Stijl em 1919. A cadeira actualmente está no museu de Montreal.

Hungarian Constructionist:  Lajos Kassák (1887-1967) was a Hungarian writer, painter, theorist, collagist, designer, printmaker and draughtsman. He experimented with plastic forms in the spirit of the De Stijl movement, his use of geometric blocks being similar to that of Georges Vantongerloo.
