Agatha Christie (1890 - 1976) was an English crime writer of novels, short stories, and plays. She also wrote six romances under the name Mary Westmacott, but is best remembered for the 78 crime novels, 150 short-stories, 4 non-fiction books, and 19 plays she wrote under her own name. Her books have been translated into 56 languages. She also wrote the world's longest-running play 'The Mousetrap' which premiered in London's West End in 1952, and continues today.
