The Dahomey Amazons or Mino were a Fon all-female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey (now Benin) which lasted until the end of the 19th century. Harry Barbot and Clement Barbot. Clement (right) was a key figure in the Duvalier revolution, created the VSN or Tonton Macoutes, and had been one of Papa Doc's best friends. Like a lot of powerful supporters of Duvalier, he was thrown into Fort Dimanche by Papa Doc who sought full control of his regime. Barbot took revenge by ordering a hit that killed Jean-Claude and Simone's chauffeur and 2 bodyguards as the children were going to school. Lived in hideout until went in exile in Argentina.
