On the evening of Dec. 26, 2015, an EF-4 tornado ripped through Dallas suburbs killing 11 people and damaging hundreds of structures. Winds between 156 and 200 mph were recorded, the second highest rating on the Fujita scale, according to the National Weather Service in Dallas-Fort Worth.
A home barely stands as it was badly damaged from a tornado that struck Rowlett, Texas and other neighboring towns the day after Christmas. The National Weather Service in Dallas-Fort Worth said that the damage left behind in Rowlett was the work of an EF-3 tornado with winds of 136 to 155 mph.
