This was the original technique I considered for the Pillar of Flesh creation. Although I preferred the realism of the tiles, the technique was difficult to stack up to make a tower.

Build pairs of a corner plate and tile like shown in the top area and put them on top of each other. The result is a cool brick pattern.  This is a quite funny technique that makes use of the relatively new corner tiles. Indead: this pattern is only possilble with those spezific tiles.
