Up here north we are having shorter and shorter days. I am trying to catch the fading daylight outside to present my finished Recess Pinwheels. This lap quilt finished at 48" by 60" with Hobbs cotton batting. I ended up doing quite a bit of quilting by hand. I'm thinking this is definitely the one for my One Scrappy Bee quilt! I know it's not very complicated or challenging but I love how the simple design lets all the colors and patterns shine. The block is from this pattern without the squaring up of squares to 4 1/2" (I don't want to waste another quarter inch of my scraps). So the unfinished block comes to a 17" square.
