I find it absolutely deplorable that anyone would dare to judge you for adopting an older child. Those kids deserve love too, they deserve parents too; by berating people for not adopting young kids, whether you mean to or not you are saying that the older ones aren't worthy anymore.

I've never personally heard anybody suggest that adopting older kids is lazy, but this is a beautiful discussion.
