Soon the towns of Antibes, Menton and Grasse will be taking over Cannes' mantle as the stage of celebrity this summer as Woody Allen reveals plans to shoot his latest film on the Riviera. The movie title might still be a secret but the stars are not. Allen's latest comedy will unite British favourite Colin Firth with fiesty American actress Emma Stone. The director's sister and producer, Letty Aronson, has already been seen location shopping but the details remain under wraps.
Monaco Classic Week 2013 September 11-15 Held by the Yacht Club de Monaco - classic sailing yachts, period motor-yachts and old motorboats setting sail together. Yachting elite will meet at the Port Hercule to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Yacht Club de Monaco. Festival dedicated to classic yachting (Quai Antoine I), Titouan Lamazou exhibition (Galerie Marlborough), auction of classic boats, paintings and maritime objects (Monte-Carlo Auction House).
Roaming the Streets of St. Tropez - Entouriste
St. Tropez - L’Escale for dinner (upscale seafood restaurant in business since Brigitte Bardot made this village famous in the late 1950′s). Must-see shops are the Dior mansion (just for browsing and utter wow-factor!), K Jacques sandal shop where everything is made in-shop, and ERES, a swimwear shop. For a beach day try Plages de Pampelonne with white sand, crystal clear water, many spots to get a chair, and an umbrella to compliment your aperitif. Follow it up with food on the beach at Cap 21.
Our favorite beach from Cannes to Monte Carlo…Plage Mala at Cape D’Ail, a town on the border of Monaco. There were beautiful villas nestled in the hills along the walk down. Once we had arrived, we were greeted by two chic, yet lonely, beach establishments which featured a spa, restaurant, lounge and live music. The remaining expanse of shoreline was a glorious free beach complete with fresh-water showers.
