1980 Kentucky Derby winner GENUINE RISK at the age of 16 with her first foal GENUINE REWARD at Three Chimneys's Farm. When Genuine Risk was first retired she was bred to Secretariat, it was the first time that two Kentucky Derby winners had ever mated. Unfortunately, the foal was stillborn, this happened over again for years. She was unable to produce a live foal until May 15, 1993 when she delivered a son by Rahy. It was a happy miracle and they named him Genuine Reward. Three years late...

1980 Kentucky Derby winner GENUINE RISK at the age of 16 with her first foal GENUINE REWARD at Three Chimneys's Farm. Genuine Reward wasn't successful in racing, but served as a stallion siring 47 thoroughbreds until he retired to Old Friends.

Fanfreluche, a Northern Dancer daughter, was stolen in June 1977 while in foal to Triple Crown winner Secretariat. She was found on a farm in Kentucky five months later. Here, in February 1978, she walks through the snow with the new foal. Fanfreluche won the Eclipse Award for outstanding 3-year-old filly in 1970 and was also Canadian horse of the year.
