I couldn’t find a runner I liked that was the correct width. I needed 24” wide. I found some rugs I liked at @homedepot for a total of $75 - this was a few years ago but they still carry it. Let me know if you need the link ! Even though you can DIY it, I took it to my local carpet cleaning shop to cut them down the middle and serge the ends. I would up with 24’ feet of runner. Would you chop up a rug ???

Black stairs and a sisal runner, would you? Here’s a quick reel from top to bottom and miraculously the music is pretty much timed with the clips. We chose a sisal carpet for our landing and runner for a number of reasons, I didn’t want wool as we have had a moth problem in the past, it had to be hardwearing and I do really like the feel underfoot.
