not saying we should hate nico, but saying we shouldn't have hated rachel

Percabeth wasn't even together when Rachel appeared. Annabeth had a crush on Percy, and Percy was struggling to decide how the balls he was going to save the world (Tbf, annabeth was trying to save her brother, but she was still petty. not gonna blame her too much, she's 15 years old, ADHD, and suffering through a loss) yet everyone jumped on the rachel and perachel hate train. Then nico appeared with his crush on percy, and the only real hate he got for it was from homophobes. Which is good, he shouldn't be hated on for having a crush! but everyone was so quick to hate a girl for being nice and liking percy with "oh she's such a b****" and "she gets in the way of percabeth!" but when it's nico it's "gay uwu bean." It was fundamental for both of their stories to get over Percy, fight me.
