Wood Sculpture - To create each stunning piece, the artist assembles dozens of small, precisely cut sapele, maple, and walnut blocks into a rough form, then turns it on a lathe, transforming it into an intriguing, totem-like sculpture of great size and bold impact. The surface is dyed, then finished with a high gloss lacquer for a shimmering luminosity and depth of color rarely seen in wood.
