This is another form of showing how "good readers" think and process text. However, rather than posting this in the classroom, I would give each student a copy to have while reading independently.

One of the keys to teaching reading comprehension is showing kids how proficient readers think about text. Teachers have to find a way to make their thinking visible to students and I think that this chart would help do that. It would be a great resource to hang on the wall for students.

I think this is a great chart for older or upper elementary children to use for reading comprehension. It would be great to print a copy for each student so that they can have it, even while reading individually.
