Lay vs. lie - a HUGE peeve of mine. PEOPLE (& dogs☺️) "lie" -- THINGS "lay"! Why are people "proud" of having poor language skills, these days? "F***, ain't I's sick? I's down wit not talking no damn nazi 'Merican." (Translation: "My goodness, am I not delightful? I am proud I am unable to speak my native language properly!")

I may be a grammar nazi, but I still need help with these from time to time. :P the whole lay/lie thing is one of the most complicated inventions in the English language.
