An 1890 three-bedroom frame house built in 1890 in Charleston, S.C. House has a side-hall floor plan. I love the long hall next to the stairs, with the pictures hanging up. A great entrance to a house.

Morning! It's Krista (@clothandkind) & Tami (@tamiramsay) on hump day of our #KBISTakeover week. We are having a blast being in the driver's seat of @kbis2015's Instagram feed! We wanted to share the lovely kitchen of Lynn Byrne of @decorartsnow with you this morning. Lynn took extra care to rebuild this kitchen in its circa 1900 Victorian style after the original was destroyed in a fire. Kudos on a stunning rehab, Lynn! What's your favorite part of your kitchen?

U shaped kitchen for open floor plan, cabinets on one wall only (not a fan of subway tile, but otherwise, I like this design)

Gibson Girl - early 1900s Gibson Girl was the first national beauty standard for American women. Her neck was thin and her hair piled high upon her head in the contemporary bouffant, pompadour, and chignon ("waterfall of curls") fashions. The statuesque, narrow-waisted ideal feminine figure was portrayed as being at ease and stylish. She was a member of upper class society, always perfectly dressed in the latest fashionable attire appropriate for the place and time of day.
